Builder Story

The roots of our company trace back to 1983 when Howard Buescher, then a 23-year veteran of the home building business, and his daughter Sue Girard, founded a new home building company. At the time, Howard and his wife Mercedes were planning to retire to sunny Florida when his daughter talked him into building a “few” homes with her in the area. Their goal was to provide customers with superior homes, at a superior value. The company also focused on constructing homes with quality building materials and exquisite attention to detail. Howard and Sue worked together to build a company that was at one time the 2nd largest private builder in the country. 

Today, a generation later, two of Sue’s four children are following in the family footsteps. Growing up in a homebuilding family, Zack & Parker were out on job sites from a very young age with their father, Greg Girard. Greg was able to teach them several things about construction management, framing, and trim carpentry from his experience in each of these areas. In high school, Zack officially went to work for the family home building business expanding his knowledge of the industry by getting the chance to work in some of the other areas of the business such as sales, marketing, and product design.
