Description

I have always been captivated by houses. At five years old, I started sketching houses and floor plans and imagining how people (or woodland creatures) would live in those spaces. My interest grew under the influence of my father, a master electrician who ran his own electrical contracting company. As I grew up, I often tagged along to residential job sites, helping him pull wire and install switches and outlets. I saw beauty in the raw bones of a house and loved the smell of a construction site.

For nearly 30 years as a stay-at-home mom, I continued to nurture that passion by studying architecture, drafting and AutoCAD in my spare time. Along the way, I assisted family and friends with their home designs, though I never imagined turning my interest into a business. That changed after working on a couple projects with local custom builder Brian Christensen. His encouragement gave me the confidence to take the leap and, more than five years ago, I began remodeling and building homes under Hainsworth Homes.

What I discovered was a deep joy in both the transformative process of remodeling and the creative freedom of designing and building spec homes. My goal has always been to create residences that stand out—homes that feel truly unique and include custom features rarely found in traditional spec builds or flips. Most of all, I’m honored to play a small part in the story as families turn the houses I build into homes, weaving them into the fabric of their lives and memories.

Now, as I prepare to retire, the home on Whitefish will be the final project for Hainsworth Homes. It’s a beautiful house—thoughtfully designed and carefully built—and it feels like the perfect way to close this chapter of my career.
